Veendam is a perfect starting position because road, rail and water come together here. Apart from the fact that we have the perfect starting position to transport all your goods, we have also ensured that internal transport runs smoothly. In addition, we have our own rail terminal and an inland shipping terminal. This makes it possible to transport goods that cannot be transported by road as standard. As one of the few logistics service providers, HUSA Logistics has obtained the OHSAS 18.001 certificate.

At HUSA Logistics, based in Veendam, we are proud of our state-of-the-art Tri-modal terminal, accessible by rail, road and water, offering a seamless integration of different transport modes. Since our inception, we have been committed to providing top-quality logistics services, including efficient and safe transportation of both containers and conventional cargoes.

Transport facilities

Our facilities include four stabling tracks of 900 metres each at the rail terminal, one of which is specially equipped for conventional rail transport. The loading and unloading quay, suitable for CEMT class 5 vessels, ensures the smooth transhipment of goods.

In addition to transport, we offer ample storage options in our warehouse, which forms an essential link between producers and their factories. With a capacity of more than 70,000 m2 for indoor storage and 120,000 m2 for weatherproof goods, we guarantee safe and efficient storage of food, project cargoes and classified goods. Our fully food and feedgrade warehouse also offers value added activities, ensuring that your goods are not only safely stored, but can also receive added value during their stay with us.

Road transport

We manage road transport from our terminal in Veendam. It is important for our customers that this is carried out quickly, cheaply, efficiently and perfectly. In addition, we have a versatile fleet. With this fleet, the supply and removal is arranged. These vehicles have a tautliner or box trailer.

From the office in Veendam, we communicate with the road transport via the on-board computer. This ensures that we always know where your cargo is and how quickly we can schedule the next cargo. This ensures that we can keep container transport costs as low as possible.

Transport of hazardous substances

We also comply with the ADR, which means that HUSA Logistics is allowed to transport hazardous substances by road and water. We are also certified to be allowed to store hazardous substances in closed containers at the terminal.
